Envision Initiative Celebrates 3-Year Anniversary & Ribbon Cutting

The Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce event brought together clients, supporters, and local business leaders.

Three years ago, Envision Initiative began with a simple idea: to combine the founders’ unique expertise to bring thoughtful, practical HR support to the local businesses and nonprofits that help our community thrive.

On August 6, 2026, Nancy Scholink and Molly Lorenzi celebrated that journey with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at their Monterey office with clients, staff, community partners, and friends who have been part of the story. Hosted alongside the Monterey Peninsula Chamber of Commerce, the event highlighted the continued growth of Envision Initiative’s strategic HR services for local employers.

Built for the Local Business Community

Nancy and Molly originally met through a shared love of tennis. When they began collaborating professionally, they saw an opportunity to bring senior-level HR expertise and practical employment guidance to small and midsize organizations in the community.

Nancy brings more than 25 years of senior-level HR leadership experience, while Molly combines her experience as a licensed California attorney with a focus on corporate compliance and practical business solutions. What began as a collaboration on workshops providing HR and legal education for local businesses quickly grew into something more.

Three Years of Growing Together

In June 2023, Nancy and Molly formalized their partnership and launched Envision Initiative. Today, the firm provides comprehensive HR support to businesses and nonprofits across the Central Coast, helping leaders navigate everything from compliance and employee relations to recruitment, leadership development, and organizational growth.

For Nancy and Molly, the anniversary milestone represents more than business growth. It reflects the relationships they’ve built with the organizations, leaders, and employees they serve.

“When Molly and I created this business together three years ago, we recognized the importance of the employer and employee relationship. We saw how a strong HR foundation could impact a business’s success, and we wanted to bring that to our community,” said Nancy Scholink, co-founder of Envision Initiative.

Over the past three years, Envision has expanded its team, services, and office space while continuing to focus on its original goal: providing responsive, experienced HR support that helps organizations build stronger workplaces.

The August celebration was a chance to pause and recognize everyone who has helped make that growth possible—including clients, community partners, colleagues, friends, and the Envision Initiative team.

“As a small nonprofit health care agency, we went through a significant growth spurt in the past two years. Our Human Resources were truly struggling to keep up with the new demands, responsibilities, and labor law regulations. Not to mention, the added workload of personnel onboarding, offboarding, and disciplinary actions that are involved with growth. We had worked with Nancy for a short while, when we had a gap in HR coverage, and were truly impressed by the caliber of her knowledge and demeanor. So we worked with the Envision Initiative team to find a more permanent solution to our HR needs. Once Molly, Nancy’s partner, became an integrated member of the HPC team, she not only streamlined all of our HR processes, but she also effectively made Health Projects Center a modern small corporation with all of the much-needed support that keeps our employees supported and in compliance with all of the necessary requirements that are needed. Thank you, Envision Initiative team, for all that you have done for us.”

“Working with Nancy Scholink and Envision Initiative has been a positive and productive partnership for Gateway Center. Nancy brings a thoughtful, solutions-oriented approach to human resources and has been a reliable partner, particularly when responsiveness and follow-through are critical.

During a period of organizational transition, Gateway Center required consistent HR support to ensure continuity of operations and adherence to employment law and licensing requirements. Nancy and her team remained engaged and responsive, helping us navigate workforce needs while maintaining compliance in a highly regulated environment.

Her accessibility, communication, and commitment to meeting deadlines have helped our team move key work forward. I appreciate Nancy’s collaborative style and her commitment to supporting leadership with clarity and integrity. She has been a trusted partner as we continue to stabilize and strengthen our organization.”
